On Saturday July 10 we will have the opportunity to observe the exit of the bats that inhabit the Soterranta cave (Serra). This cavity houses an important colony of bats with up to 5 different species. To ensure its conservation, access is restricted by fencing in order to avoid inconvenience.
From the meeting point in the parking lot of the Pla de Lucas recreational area (Portacoeli, Serra), located at the CV-238 to Náquera / Serra road junction, with CV-331 Bétera-Portacoeli, we will leave with the cars, until the route that will take us walking around the Cova Soterranya; Right there, while we wait for nightfall, we will talk about the bats and have dinner to wait for the bats to come out.
Date: July 10, 2021
Meeting point and time: Portacoeli car park at the junction of the Bétera-Portacoeli CV-331 roads, with the Portacoeli-Náquera / Serra CV-238 road. 19:30h.
Duration of the activity: 4h
Information of interest: from the meeting point we travel by car to the vicinity of the cave along a forest path of approximately 3 kilometers. From there we travel a section of path to access the entrance to the cavity.

REMEMBER that all the indications of the health authorities must be complied with, respect the social safety distance of two meters and the use of a mask is mandatory if this distance is not maintained.
IMPORTANT: You will have dinner on the mountain. It is recommended to bring suitable footwear, water, flashlight and dinner. There is no drinking water point during the tour. At the end of the activity it will be necessary to use flashlights on the path back to the cars.
