The jury has already decided which are the works that have passed to the second phase of the contest to choose the winner of the poster that will announce the 16th Fira de la Calderona and the 50th edition of the Dia de la Cirera to be held on June 4 and 5. From today April 4 until April 19 you can vote for the three selected works at the Tourist Office of Serra.
The 3 selected works have been executed by Ángela Domingo Ros, Andrea Casaña Doménech and Noelia Juan Pastor. Voting will be in person and may exercise the right to vote for people over 16 years presenting the ID card according to the rules. The Tourist Office is open from Monday to Sunday from 8.00 to 15.00 hours.
The winning poster will be responsible for announcing the 16th Calderona Fair and the 50th Day of the Cirera. The winner will also receive as a prize a check for 150 €.
The jury was composed of the Mayor Alicia Tusón, the Councillor for Festivals and Traditions, Inma Bartual and technical staff of the departments of Tourism and Communication and Culture. A total of 29 works have been submitted by 15 different people, both Serra and other populations.
“The contest wants to encourage the participation of everyone and involve citizens in a party deeply rooted in our people” says the mayor of Serra and responsible for Tourism, Alicia Tusón. The council is working on the coordination of the event in a year that marks the 50th anniversary of the Day of the Cirera. The Fira de la Calderona is a showcase for the tourist offer of the municipality and many other municipalities of the Calderona.
