The City Council of Serra promotes the tourist resources of the municipality in the Office of Patronato de Turisme in Valencia. From today Wednesday, and until Saturday, Serra will be present at the tourist office located on Poeta Querol street in Valencia.
From there, the staff of the Tourism Area will give information about the various possibilities offered by the municipality for visitors. From the different hiking routes within the Serra Calderona Natural Park, to another kind of tourism, cultural, sports and nature and family, without forgetting the gastronomy and the inn offer, more and more numerous in the town.
“We want to make the municipality known. That they visit us and enjoy a unique environment “comments the mayor of Serra, Alicia Tusón. This year is the first time that the town uses this showroom that the Diputació de València places at the service of the municipalities of the province. One more example of the “impulse that we want to give to tourism as an engine of local development” says the mayor of Serra.
The municipality of Serra is located in the heart of the Sierra Calderona and offers many possibilities to discover the natural park: its fountains and viewpoints, the inexhaustible trails, pure nature 30 minutes from València. In addition, it has a rich cultural heritage from the Islamic period (VIII-IX centuries), such as the castle and the four watchtowers, the Cartuja de Portaceli (13th century), on the other hand and within the municipal area, it was a very influential center where the bible was translated into Valencian, for the first time in history.
