To raise awareness and communicate the benefits of the Revitalization Plan, as well as the actions to be carried out in the short and medium term, 4 sessions were held on Monday, July 26, in the municipalities of Riba-roja de Túria, La Pobla de Vallbona , Serra and San Antonio de Benagéber. These public presentations have been planned in coordination with the Commonwealth and the different municipalities.

Through these presentations, the aim was to capture one of the objectives of the Revitalization Plan: “to consolidate tourism as an economic activity that allows, through the enhancement of its heritage and the professionalization of its main actors, to position the Camp de Túria destination in the tourist market of the Valencian Community ”. For this, it is necessary the participation and sensitization of the different public-private agents of all municipalities in the process of change that is needed to put the destination in tourist value.

There are two work scenarios to reach a target audience: a short and medium term scenario aimed at increasing the number of visitors, the duration of their visit and the cost per day, by improving the value of their agri-food attractions, heritage resources, outdoor activities and cultural events, the improvement in the enhancement of its heritage attractions and the tourist adaptation of its shops, crafts and catering offer to the demands of the tourist. And a medium and long-term scenario aimed at generating greater overnight stays, greater increase in stay and the arrival of consumers from nearby and non-nearby destinations, attracted by the consolidation of the enhancement of its cultural / agri-food events, its natural heritage and historical, as well as spaces for sports in nature and related events.

For the execution of this Revitalization Plan, there is an investment of 210,000 euros that will cover the actions to be launched in 2021, being a total investment in three annuities worth 900,000 euros. This investment is co-financed by the Mancomunitat Camp de Túria, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana and the Provincial Board – Turisme València.

Some of the actions of the year 2021 presented to citizens, businessmen and local associations through the Awareness Plan have been:

-Implementation of a tourist interpretation and signage plan.

-Preparation of a Strategic Plan that, under the destination vision, creates and designs a strategy for tourism products that structure the Camp de Túria destination.

-Implementation of a communication and positioning plan.

-Design of the tourist brand Camp de Túria.

-Professional Management.

In the words of the President of the Commonwealth, Dolores Celda “Undoubtedly a project that must have public-private collaboration and Collaborative Governance among all municipalities, since without a doubt tourism is an economic engine for our peoples and the improvement in the quality of life of our citizens ”.
