The Serra City Council will not celebrate the XVI edition of the Fira de la Calderona and the 50th Day of the Cirera due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19. The budget for these celebrations is will allocate to defray the part that the consistory has to contribute to the Parenthesis aid, within the Pla Resistir aimed at freelancers and small businesses.
“This year we are also forced to suspend the Fira de la Calderona and the Dia de la Cirera. Is he moment of responsibility and we cannot take a step back to fight against covid19 ” says the mayor of Serra, Alicia Tusón. “The funds of the Fira de la Calderona are We will use to help the sectors most affected by the crisis caused by the pandemic to through parentheses help ”.
For the second consecutive year, these commemorations in which the fiftieth edition of a party deeply rooted in the town. A weekend in which Serra shows people who visit all its tourist attractions and that brings together thousands and thousands of visitors. In this exercise, the events had to be held on the last weekend in May.

The Serra City Council is working on the bases of these grants. Some bases that “we want approve this week itself. In total, the Serra City Council will distribute € 99,301 of aid that is the result of a
pact between the Generalitat Valenciana that contributes € 62,603, the Diputació de València that contributes with € 22,343 and the Serra City Council with the remaining € 14,895.
