The Tourist Info of Serra attended in person more visits during the first five months of the year than during the whole of 2019. As of May 30, 2970 people had passed through the tourist office of the municipality located in the heart of the Sierra Calderona compared to 2724 face-to-face attentions during 2019 and 2869 in 2020.
The perimeter closure of the Valencian Community has caused the locality to increase considerably the number of visitors in a very remarkable way. Thus during the month of April, 832 people passed through the Tourist Info compared to 165 in 2019; the month of March 668 compared to 250 two years ago. May, also recorded 535 people users compared to 310 in 2019. To this must be added the telephone attention and visits to the tourism website.
“We have exponentially increased visitors over the past few months. The pandemic has restricted mobility and we have seen how our municipality received more visitors than usual” stresses the mayor, Alicia Tusón and responsible for the area of Tourism and Heritage. “We are aware of our tourist potential and we are working on it,” she adds.
