Last year, Serra was recognized as the most beautiful village of the Valencian Community, an award given through the contest organized by the application ‘Spain Tourism’. Now, this title gives the municipality nestled in the heart of the Sierra Calderona the opportunity to compete on a national scale for the recognition of “Tourist Destination Spain 2025”.
The national contest brings together 48 municipalities, which were the four most voted within their respective region, to highlight their beauty, history, culture and nature. Being part of this initiative not only puts them on the map as an outstanding destination, but also boosts local tourism, increases its attractiveness and fosters pride among the neighborhood.
The voting process is open and will close on January 19. To vote, you have to download the “Spain Tourism” application, access the section of the contest “Tourist Destination Spain 2025” and choose Serra by clicking on the heart emoticon.
“Voting for Serra is a way to assert our heritage and get a national recognition that will highlight the uniqueness of our people,” says the mayor of Serra, Alicia Tusón. She also emphasizes that “from the area of tourism we work continuously to promote Serra as a benchmark for quality inland tourism”.
Participation in the competition offers participating municipalities the opportunity to publicize their culture, traditions and landscapes at a state level. It also allows them to reaffirm themselves as a quality tourism reference, both within their communities and the rest of the state.
