Serra City Council has carried out replacement and maintenance tasks for the signage of natural and heritage tourism resources that the municipality has with the aim of creating a unified and homogeneous signage network. In this way, many signs indicating direction and location have been renewed throughout the entire municipal term located in the heart of the Sierra Calderona.
The intervention has made it possible to change a total of 35 location and direction signs in addition to 23 posts and a beacon. The new signs follow the image of the routes created in recent years according to the signs of the natural parks of the Valencian Community. The installation has been carried out mainly on the forest tracks that lead to viewpoints, fountains and other heritage resources such as the Castle, the Portaceli Carthusian monastery or the Ventisquer de Rebalsadors.
In the words of the mayor, Alicia Tusón, with this signage “we want the neighborhood to be aware of the value of our heritage and that the people who visit us have a more satisfactory experience when they are in our town.”
In total, nearly €13,000 of investment has been paid with own funds and two grants from the Valencia Provincial Council and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport for the promotion of Valencian. At the same time, maintenance of the signage has also been carried out. on hiking trails and tourist resources.
