A contest will decide the poster for the 16th Fira de la Calderona and the 50th edition of the Day of the Cirera that after two years of forced stop due to the social and health situation may be held this year on June 4 and 5. The event is a showcase for the tourist offer of the municipality and many other villages of the Calderona.
The contest is open to all persons over 16 years old, who can send as many works as they consider from today. The deadline for sending the works begins today and ends on March 30. On April 1 the jury will have selected the three works that will be exhibited at the Tourist Office and may go to a second phase of selection in which the winner of the poster contest that will serve to announce the Fira de la Calderona – Dia de la Cirera will be decided.
“The contest wants to encourage the participation of everyone and involve citizens in a party deeply rooted in our people” says the mayor of Serra and responsible for Tourism, Alicia Tusón. She adds, “We are already working to coordinate the activities that will be part of the Calderona festival and Cirera day in a year in which we can celebrate the 50th anniversary of this festival that promotes Serra as a tourist destination.”
