Bicycle touring/MTB

It does not matter if you are a city cyclist or an MTB lover: Serra is a paradise for all kinds of bicycle users. The town offers many kilometres of paved roads as well as forestry tracks to go on your bicycle. Its privileged location within the heart of Serra Calderona means access to many mountains and forestry tracks. It is certainly an ideal place for cycling. 

However, since Serra and its surroundings belong the Serra Calderona Natural Park, the practice of this sport is strictly regulated in order to preserve the park and its biodiversity. And so, the regulation stipulates that bikes can only circulate on forestry tracks. Mountain paths and open fields are off limits. Cyclists must always respect the rights and priorities of hikers. On the other hand, the speed limit within the limits of the Park is at 30 km per hour.

Even if the great amount of forestry tracks and paved roads offer a lot of possibilities, currently there is no signposted route for cyclists. At the Tourist Information Centre, you will find more detailed information about possible itineraries.
