Beekeeping
You can combine tourism with bees at Serra. Beekeeping has been a traditional trade linked to the Calderona mountains which has remained alive. Other traditional trades such as aiguader (water trader), carboner (charcoal burner), picapedrer (quarry worker) or esparto-related trades have disappeared.
Nowadays, there are different beekeeping colonies around the municipality, which mostly produce artisan honey. This honey is sold in many shops in Serra and in some cases is also available to buy online.
Activities related to beekeeping are another way of enjoying Serra Calderona: workshops or itineraries that focus on the fascinating world of bees. And everything is possible in Serra, in the heart of Serra Calderona.
