We already have the winning poster for the 16th Fira de la Calderona and the 50th edition of the Dia de la Cirera to be held on June 4 and 5. A popular vote has chosen the work of local designer Ángela Domingo Ros who has won the contest to choose the image that will represent the Fira de la Calderona-Dia de la Cirera which has recently been declared a festival of regional tourist interest of the Valencian Community.
The winning entry received 65 votes, ahead of the second finalist with 42 and the third with 2 votes. In total 109 people have voted who have come to the tourist office where the posters have been exhibited for 15 days, from 4 to 19 April. The three finalist posters were chosen from among the 29 works that were submitted to the contest by the jury formed by the mayor Alicia Tusón, the Councillor for Festivals and Traditions, Inma Bartual and technical staff of the departments of Tourism and Communication and Culture.
In the words of the mayor, Alicia Tusón: “We want to congratulate the winner, Ángela Domingo. At the same time we want to thank the participation of the finalists Andrea Casaña y Noelia Juan and all the people who have submitted their works to this contest. A contest that wants to encourage the participation of all and all and involve citizens in a party deeply rooted in our people and has received recognition as a festival of regional tourist interest of the Valencian Community”.
The poster by Ángela Domingo will be in charge of announcing the 16th Fira de la Calderona and the 50th edition of the Dia de la Cirera. In addition, she will receive a check for 150 € for being the winner of the contest.
